About
Hi!
My name is Geoff Hotchkiss. I am 19 years old and am in my sophomore year at Rochester Institute of Technology. Currently, I am studying mathematics and computer science thought officially it’s just math; that will be changing soon.
My academic interests are in calculus, geometry, number theory, and most recently graph theory. As far as computer science is concerned, computer algebra systems and computational geometry catch my interest. Now if you combine the two fields together, cryptography comes out and I’d love to do work in that field but I’ve never had the chance.
Other than that fun stuff, I like playing computer games. Some of my favorites are Call of Duty, America’s Army, Winterbells, Portal, Unreal Tournament, and a whole bunch of other Korean mmo’s. I also really like doing Japanese puzzles like the ones at Nikoli, though I have to say that Kakuro’s and Nonogram’s are my favorite puzzles. When listening to music, I like hearing power metal, symphonic metal, rock and roll, blues, trance, happy hardcore, chip tunes, German music, a cappella, and classical.
